SOLUTION:
Reflecting on the progression of this course, my understanding of advocacy for population health, disaster preparedness, and health policy has deepened significantly, challenging my previous assumptions and broadening my perspective. These learnings have been integral in preparing me to practice as a DNP-prepared nurse, reinforcing the advanced leadership skills required to address complex healthcare issues.
Advocacy for Population Health
Before this course, my advocacy efforts were centered primarily on direct patient care, focusing on addressing individual needs. However, exploring frameworks for addressing health disparities helped me realize the importance of system-wide interventions.
