Ischemic heart disease (IHD), also known as coronary heart disease, poses a significant threat to global health, being one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity (Ghaemmaghami et al., 2023). This condition results from the narrowing of coronary arteries, which limits blood flow to the heart muscle and can cause symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, and heart attacks (Price et al., 2023). Effective management of IHD requires a multifaceted approach that addresses the physical aspects of the disease and the psychological and social dimensions to improve overall patient outcomes. This paper presents a synthesis of evidence regarding IHD management based on different perspectives drawn from the synthesis of three articles. In this regard, Goodyke et al. (2024) investigated the perceived impact of social support on hopelessness and heart rate variability in IHD patients. Ghaemmaghami et al. (2023) investigate the role of family support in enhancing health literacy and self-efficacy in patients with acute coronary syndrome. Additionally, Elbrønd et al. (2022) emphasize the psychosocial aspects by exploring men’s experiences of health post-treatment for ischemic heart disease (IHD). The perspectives from these articles are well articulated and synthesized in the following parts of this paper…………………..please click the icon below to access entire solution at $10
