The healthcare industry started using computer technology to collect, retrieve, cluster, analyze, and transform massive data to applicable information and knowledge. (Batko, 2022). One benefit of a nationwide healthcare data management system for providers and clients is the integration of patient health information (EHRs, PHRs, labs and imaging, pharmacy, and digital devices such as smartwatches, EKG monitors, etc.). This allows for better and quicker interpersonal collaboration in the healthcare profession regardless of the location of the provider. This also allows the patient to be able to have access to their records online on their patient portal. Secondly, another benefit of a nationwide data management system is to improve quality care which could be by monitoring acute and chronic diseases using digital technology.  Digital technologies offer capturing in real-time, multi-faceted patient experiences. This is used to capture patient stats during healthcare encounters and their potential to improve health service delivery and care. (Dodson, 2024). Thirdly, the last benefit of a nationwide healthcare data management system is being cost effective to the patient and to the organization. This allows patients that come from other facilities already having care to allow the new facility and providers to use the labs and imaging to keep from double charging the patient for the same thing that was already done.
